This award-winning 7.2-star NatHERS home was one of our earliest demonstrations of fully integrated sustainable design. Built in a bushfire-prone area, it combines passive solar design, high insulation, and efficient active systems to achieve year-round comfort and near carbon neutrality.
A 4.2 kW solar system, 90,000 litres of rainwater storage, and complete grey and black water recycling make the home entirely self-sufficient for energy and water. Constructed from fire-resistant, low-maintenance materials including concrete block, corrugated steel, and fibre cement, it blends durability with warmth and character.
Winner of the HIA GreenSmart Water Efficiency Award, this home remains a benchmark for bushfire-resilient, low-impact living.
