This Blue Mountains renovation project transformed two poorly insulated pavilions into a high-performance, environmentally conscious family home. By repurposing the existing structure and integrating sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting, double-glazed windows, and energy-efficient insulation, the design achieves exceptional thermal comfort and reduced environmental impact. The project prioritised reusing materials, minimising waste, and enhancing biodiversity while maintaining the home’s connection to its natural surroundings. With 89% of construction waste recycled and a threefold exceedance of BASIX standards, this home exemplifies sustainable living.
This renovation project reimagines two pavilions into a sustainable family home, blending energy efficiency, reused materials, and environmental stewardship.
