About Blue Eco Homes

With a passion for building and the World Heritage area that is the Blue Mountains, Joe Mercieca had a vision to build sustainable quality homes, with minimal impact on the environment – both during construction and when occupied. This was the catalyst for Blue Eco Homes.

With an aim to reduce environmental impact both during construction and habitation of their homes, Blue Eco Homes continues to pioneer sustainable innovations in the building industry. We work with local designers to build sustainable residential and commercial properties simply not offered by traditional builders.

Joe’s desire to educate and equip others in sustainable building extends into staffing as well. He strongly promotes construction to high school leavers and takes on work experience for high schoolers where possible. Many of Joe’s staff have begun as apprentices and moved on to management and other career progressions as a result of his training.
